2013 Winner of the NatWest Everywoman Award 2013

Yesterday (05th December 2013) Tracy Mort MD of Grace Cole LTD was awarded the Everywoman Award which is given to one person from all of the nominations across all of the categories. This award recognises the most passionate and dedicated female business owner, whom the judges feel has overcome significant challenges to achieve outstanding business success. Over 300 guests from the world of business and politics along with household names including Kelly Hoppen MBE, Amanda Wakeley OBE, and Awards Patron Dame Mary Perkins gathered at The Dorchester to celebrate the achievements of these remarkable women!

In Tracy’s own words

I still can’t believe that out of all the business women I had the honour of meeting yesterday that I was one of the winners! It was wonderful to be involved in such an inspirational event and another great honour.

When I started the business I had a clear vision of developing a range of affordable yet luxurious beauty products which is what we have done. The past seven years have been a real whirlwind and we have had great success, bucking the trend of the recession with year on year growth and securing listings in the best retailers in the UK Boots, House of Fraser and Harrods to name just a few!

I am still incredibly hands on in the creation of our products having come from a buying background myself and it is still the ultimate pleasure to see the products go through the development process and then see them in store.

To anyone out there aspiring to have their own business and to be a success as far as I am concerned there is no magic trick, it’s about having a passion for your brand, creating a brand that you believe in and then a lot of hard work!

This year I have won some wonderful awards and experienced some of my proudest moments, including receiving an MBE from His Royal Highness Prince Charles, and now being awarded this fantastic accolade from the Natwest Everywoman Awards. What a wonderful way to end the year!

A huge thank you to Max Benson MBE and Karen Gill MBE for creating the Everywoman network, also to the panelists for selecting me and making me a part of something so truly special.
